I. QUALIFICATIONS

- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to read, write, basic mathematical skills and comprehend instructions
II. SUMMARY
The Picker is a member of a team, who will fill customer's orders within company
productivity, accuracy and
safety standards. The duties will include pulling merchandise ordered by the
customer. He/She should be
able to handle multiple customers at one time and repetitive tasks. He/She should
be able to work independently
with minimal supervision, as well as possess the ability to work in a team environment.
III. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
A. Read customer tickets and/or Hand held scanner
B. Read warehouse bin labels
C. Responsible for and operate
hand held scanner. This includes understanding information and instructions
on the
screen and entering information on an alphanumeric keypad
D. Pull merchandise from the bins and place in the appropriate customer's box
E. Count merchandise
F. Ensures the merchandise code matches the customer's ticket
G. Transfer completed boxes to conveyer belt
H. Operate motorized equipment (3 wheel cart, pallet jack, or fork lift)
I. Push a cart that could weigh up to 40 pounds
J. Ensures productivity and accuracy standards are met when filling customers' orders
K. Observe and practice safety procedures
L. Maintain safe/clean work environment
M. Adhere to company policies and procedures
N. Perform assignments deemed necessary and/or directed to achieve goals and objectives of the department.
